Gauteng Innovation Challenge Finalists
Dear Candidate
On behalf of the Gauteng Innovation Competition (GIC), it gives me great pleasure to inform you that you have been selected as one of the 5 finalists for the mobile concepts of the competition.
To arrive at this stage, a Judging Panel reviewed and assessed all entries, and made recommendations for the top 5 finalists. This is perhaps the most arduous and important part of the selection process. Each judge works independently of his/her fellow judges. In this way we can assure you of the transparency and fairness of the judging process.
You will be receiving a call from us to schedule your video shooting tomorrow. Do find attached the questionnaire for your video shoot and directions to Astral Studios. For the shoot tomorrow note the following:
PLEASE NOTE: DO NOT WEAR ANY SHADE OF BLUE OR RED. ANY OTHER COLOUR IS FINE!
Please prepare visual material and bring with for the interview saved on a disc. Include photos in high resolution format – 300 dpi or best possible. Models, pictures, drawings saved as jpegs or pdf.
You are also invited to deliver a 10 minutes presentation and 10 minutes questions and answers session on Thursday the 22nd March 2012 at 14:00 at The Innovation Hub. I have attached directions to The Innovation Hub. Please make sure that you are there on time. Do remember that your presentation will be evaluated against the following questions:
- Describe your concept / product
- What is innovative about your concept / product?
- How does the concept / product enhance service delivery?
- Why would a municipality or local government office procure this solution?
- What is your strategy to bring this concept / product to commercial readiness?
- What is the capacity of your team to implement this strategy?
As one of the top 5 finalists you are expected to attend the award ceremony taking place on the 27th March 2012 at 18:00 at the The Innovation Hub, where the three winners will be announced.
