Introduction to Android – 11 February
Toby Kurien will be presenting an introduction to Android this Saturday 11 February from 9 – 14. Toby is a well known Android Freelancer and publishes on amongst other, Toby’s Dev at AndroidZA ( http://www.androidza.co.za/category/tobys-dev/)
During the course you will build a fully working Twitter Application! Using the knowledge gained from the course, I wrote (hacked together) the Galaxy Tab-winning SHAC app 🙂 So you do not want to miss this one!!!
GTUG is planning an Android Hackathon the weekend of the 18th (details to be finalised) and this course was planned to coincide with that event.
Course fees are R350 and include snacks and lunch (pizza). You will need a laptop and working knowledge of java (or C# at a stretch)- please pre-load eclipse with the android sdk – Toby will publish a step-by-step later the week OR come on Tuesday evening and we can help you install all the bits.
